I know it seems that not many care about what happened to our club at our last HS, but we were told tonight that the vandals were not racing anymore. I looked over the scores briefly tonight, and two are still racing. I did not see ONE vandals name, and I forgot the fourths name. It seems that not enforcing and following through with stated rules and votes have become a common practice in FTR. But I would expect better from MY club! There needs to be a presentation to the club as to what happened, what we voted for, and the way Randy and I were confronted by ONE of the parents at the banquet. Then the club should vote whether to require these kids to fulfill what SADRA voted for and the FTR BOD approved. Just to keep the record straight, the final requirement that our club voted for, is that these kids work OUR race and will not receive a work credit. There are consequences for bad decisions. These are life lessons that the parents of the vandals should be insisting upon as well. This is not about "embarassing" anyone, because no one needs to know that they are working our race except the parents. Right now I am pissed that someone (i do not know who claimed that these kids dropped out of racing or FTR) tried to perpetuate this misrepresentation to our club. Especially since this claim is EASILY verifiable! The above comments are MY opinion. Please feel free to express yours......................

I just noticed this but it's not too late to comment.
It goes without saying all 4 vandals names an faces should be at sign up for the workers to identify them, that's if they are bold enough to even show.
We should use this as a learning experience so that, God forbid, we have another problem we prosecute to the maximum. Involve the cops, forget their record or future. FTR has no authority and neither do we as a club. So we use somebody who does. We tried keeping this in house and it didn't work. Also remember only a select few know the names so no real shame has been dealt. Somebody will always call "woe is me". No more remorse.

My thoughts are that if the club voted for these "sanctions" then they should be enforced, unless the club changes their mind and rescinds a part of the agreement with FTR. Any changes should be voted on at the next meeting. If the club decides to let these kids off, then so be it. If they vote to uphold the previous requirements, then it should be enforced and followed through by our club.

I would think if they could not work our race for whatever reason they would at the least not be allowed to race our event. It may be emberassing for them to be around all of us. That's fine just don't let them race. It removes the embarassment while still enforcing the main part of the SADRA and BOD approved punishment. If they race there may be grounds for a protest, that would be emberassing.

I don't think there needs to be a vote as to whether we enforce the corrective action or not. It was already voted by our club and accepted by the Hare Scramble Committee. For some reason some people seem to think these kids and their parents are entitled to Privacy and keeping the involved parties names secret. I was at the Hare Scramble Committee meeting and that seemed to be the same. The fact is they have no reason or expectation of privacy. There was no arrest. There was no CRIMINAL Investigation, conviction, adjudication of guilt innocence or adjudication withheld. They have no right to Privacy. So with that said should we blab the names out to everyone? NO. If some infer, that because they work our race, they're the ones involved is that our problem? NO. I am very sorry that anyone, Randy,Kevin Vaugh or anyone had to suffer abuse by any of the parents. That also isn't right and I'm afraid I would have had to just walk away and ignore them. Now that I have said all this I volunteer myself as the SADRA representative to keep track of whether or not they fulfill the obligation to SADRA and most importantly the LAND OWNER Mr. Green. I would report to FTR if they fulfill it or not and request they, I believe it was one year suspension from FTR, if they do not.
And I believe Tom is correct when he said if they are allowed to race and score points for our race that is grounds for a protest from any other rider in their respective class. In fact I encourage it if it is allowed to happen!!!

Troy...I believe you may want to let Randy know that you are volunteering for this on behalf of the club. We will certainly need volunteers to make sure that this does not happen again regardless of who vandalized the property last time.
